It was a dream to be able to step into couture clothing straight off the runway, but zipping into size 0 samples made me feel like I had to mold my body into a fashion ideal. I have scars from zippers cutting into me. There was no way I was going to starve myself. So I had to get up in the morning and work hard to tone up.
